Flag Football Fall 2016

Registration closes in 5 days

The Oak Grove Flag football is an introductory program to the game of football. In this program, our goal is to educate children ages 4 to 6 on some of the basic fundamentals of football. Flag football is a non-contact sport that at times may result in incidental contact during live play. In flag football, one of the key objects of the game is to grab the flag that is attached to a belt that is worn around the waist of the opposing player. Players should learn how to work as a team and how to watch the movements of the opposing team to prevent them from scoring. This program not only teaches children the fundamental skills necessary to play the game but it also teaches them the value and importance of teamwork. As always, good sportsmanship and respect for all players and coaches are critical in this program’s success.

Combined Practices on Sept. 10, 17 & 24
Teams will be formed on Sept. 24
First Game on Oct. 1
Season ends on Nov. 12

Cheer With Champions 2016

The OGAA cheer program focuses on esteeming young girls with self-confidence, physical fitness and leadership qualities. OGAA cheer offers girls the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of cheerleading including jumps, formations, basic tumbling and stunting in a safe, fun, family environment. Our coaches work with each girl, helping them learn proper posture, drills, and cheers. Our league allows for four (4) squads:

Mascots (Ages 4-5)
Mini Mites (Ages 6-8)
Mighty Mites (Ages 9-10)
Pee Wees (Ages 11-12)

*Age is determined as of August 1st of the current season.

Registration fees cover official uniform usage (skirt and vest), league participation and participation in cheer competition. Because we have both returning and new cheerleaders all needing different packages of accessories, parents will be responsible for individually ordering all other required cheer essentials from Campus Teamwear ( This allows for the purchase of only what each cheerleader needs.

Cheer practice will run concurrently with football practice. Mascots will practice on Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 pm. Mini Mites, Mighty Mites and Pee Wees will practice on Mondays and Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 pm.
